The Z150 is the world's first professional camcorder to feature a 1.0 type stacked CMOS image sensor. This breakthrough in sensor integration delivers a 2x increase in read-out speed compared to a conventional 1.0 sensor for stunning 120fps slow motion in Full HD and spectacular 4K recording. Full pixel read-out helps realize the full potential of the big 1.0 type sensor - there's no need for pixel binning or line skipping which can result in moire effects.
The PXW-Z100 uses Exmor R™ CMOS sensors capable of 4K resolution (4096 x 2160) at 60 fps or 50fps, while weighing under 3 kg even with a 4K-compatible high-performance G lens™ mounted. The recording format is XAVC, which was first used in the PMW-F55 digital cinema camera. As with the F55, 4K 60p 4:2:2 10-bit recording is possible at a high bit rate of 500Mbps or 600 Mbps. QFHD (3840 x 2160) and HD (1920 x 1080) resolutions, which have high compatibility with 4K TV, can also be selected.

Sony NP-FZ100 2280mAh Rechargeable Battery is a high-capacity battery with approximately 2.2x the capacity of the NP-FW50 W-series battery. It also supports InfoLITHIUM® technology, making it possible to view the remaining battery power as both a percentage display and five step icon on the camera's LCD screen.
This NPA-MQZ1K Multi Battery Adaptor Kit charges up to four NPFZ100 rechargeable battery packs1 and can also be connected to the camera via a plug-in plate, providing dramatically extended operating time for sessions that can’t be interrupted by battery changes. It includes two USB ports so that power can be delivered to the camera and a USB device simultaneously. LED indicators show the remaining power for each battery.
