The Leica SL2 combines versatile imaging capabilities with a sophisticated but elegant design. This mirrorless camera features a 47.3MP full-frame CMOS sensor and the Maestro III image processor to enable a wide 14-stop dynamic range and an ISO 50-50000 sensitivity. The CMOS sensor design foregoes a low-pass filter to maintain sharp and high-resolution images. It also has an integrated BIS system that offers any lens, including adapted Leica lens, up to 5.5 stops of stabilization for better stills and steadier videos to yield sharp images despite low light conditions or slower shutter speeds.
Leica Camera AG has expanded the Summicron-SL lens family with another high-performance lens: the Leica APO-Summicron-SL 50mm f/2 ASPH. Its focal length makes the new SL-Lens extremely versatile and recommends it for use in almost any situation – for instance, reportage and travel photography, studio work, architectural, landscape, portrait, close-up or documentary photography. As is the case with the other Summicron-SL lenses, the APO-Summicron-SL 50mm f/2 ASPH. sets standards and takes its place as the new reference lens among the standard focal lengths.
