Microphone Direction Setting
FUJIFILM X-M5 is the first X Series model to feature three built-in microphones for the highest-quality audio. Four different audio modes are available: Surround, Front Priority, Back Priority, or Front & Back Priority, giving the flexibility to get crystal-clear sound from any direction.
Noise Reduction Setting
The new microphones offer more than just directional control – a versatile noise reduction feature has also been added. Now, it's possible to reduce noise that continues at a constant frequency; for example, the sound of air conditioning or wind noise.
9:16 Short Movie Mode
FUJIFILM X-M5 features a new Short Movie mode to create social-ready content that's easy to share on various social media. Clips of 15, 30 or 60 seconds can be recorded in 9:16 vertical format without having to turn the camera on its side. An on-screen timer makes it easy to see how long you have left while recording.
Share Content Quickly
FUJIFILM X-M5 allows low bit rates of 8Mbps and 25Mbps to be selected. Choosing these rates minimizes the time it takes to transfer files to smartphones and other devices, so you can get content online quickly. Additionally, a USB-C connection enables high-speed transfer of video files of 4GB or more to both Android and iOS devices.

FUJIFILM X-M5 is equipped with Fujifilm'slatest predictive algorithm, recording subjects with highly accurate AF even in scenes requiring tracking of moving objects or in low-contrast environments. It tracks a wide range of subjects, including sports and animals, and subjects in motion.

- The X-M5 weighs approximately 355g and measures approximately 111.9mm in width, 66.6mm in height, and 38.0mm in depth. The extremely lightweight and compact body for a mirrorless digital camera makes it easy to carry around and enjoy photography every day.
- Despite its compact size, the X-M5 has the high-quality appearance characteristic of the “X series”. Symmetrically placed dials on the top surface highlight the beauty of the camera.
- The film simulation dial is located on the left shoulder of the top surface. The user can intuitively switch between a total of 20 “Film Simulation” modes according to the subject or scene, allowing the user to enjoy a wide variety of color expression.
- A mode dial on the right shoulder of the top surface allows the camera to automatically recognize the best shooting mode for the scene in AUTO mode, making it easy for first-time digital camera users to capture high-quality still images and movies.

- Equipped with powerful digital image stabilization. It is effective not only for minor camera shake but also for large shaking that occurs when shooting video while walking.
- For the first time in Fujifilm's digital camera lineup, three built-in microphones are equipped. Users can choose from four microphone directivity options: surround, front, back, or front & back, depending on the situation. The X-M5 is also the first to feature a steady-state noise reduction function, which reduces noise that continues to sound at a certain frequency, such as the noise from an air conditioner.
- “Vlog mode” allows users to change shooting conditions intuitively by touching the LCD. Improvements in the number and placement of icons make video recording even more intuitive. In addition, the new “9:16 short movie mode” allows users to easily shoot vertical videos popular on various social media and smoothly share the captured content.
- Two new bit rates, 8Mbps and 25Mbps, have been added to the list of bit rates that can be selected in the “Media Recording Settings” when shooting video. This shortens the transfer time to external devices such as smartphones and contributes to shortening the time required to upload captured video directly to social media.
