The Titan matte box is the world's first fully height adjustable swing away mattebox. Using a CNC machined aluminum frame, and carbon fibre uprights, the box frame is strong enough to be used as a handle for a 40lb rig.

The unit is 100% computer machined from aluminum, computer bent and then powder coated black for a lifetime of use. The cage is only .85 kg, or 1.8lbs in weight and will support rigs well over 40lbs if required.

Note that our highly regarded Durus follow focus, matte box and Proteus cage are not included. You'll find those duplicated in this catalog section in case you'd like to add them to your order. If you plan on replacing your DSLR system down the line, remember that this Proteus rails system can fully support every video camera from the tiny HV20 consumer camera, to a Sony EX1. You will never need another rails system.

This unit represents a complete redesign using a build quality that will literally last a lifetime.
The sealed internal gear set and bearing assembly assures effortless movement, near zero lash, and a lifetime of maintenance free use in a commercial environment. The entire unit is computer machined from 3 aluminum billets leaving plastic used only for the dry-erase focus ring and interchangeable (.8 film pitch) drive gear.
A .5 pitch drive gear option is coming. The focus marking ring is designed for multi-angle viewing, and is indexed and attached magnetically. Our single rail mount design is rock-solid, incredibly versatile and opens up rail space for other accessories. The unit can be mounted left or right, at any height, with the focusing head angle adjustable to suit your needs.
In any configuration, the unit can be used with the drive gear oriented forward or back. Designed to work on any 15mm rails system, you can purchase our 19mm clamp to use the system interchangeably on 19mm rails. The unit ships with three of our new Cinevate universal focus rings for mounting to any 35mm lens. Please note that each follow focus includes 3 focus gear rings and 5 sets of nylon tipped spokes.

Proteus Cage
The Proteus cage ships with our universals rails blocks (2) and a standard 1/4" 20 thread tripod plate.
The Cage was designed to serve many needs expressed by our customers. First of all, it serves as a light, stiff and rock solid handle for your 35mm adapter, HD cam, or ENG cam rig. You can mount up to three of our universal rails blocks allowing the mounting of additional 15mm rails on either the side or top of the rig. Additionally we've provided mount points for our allen key holder and "hot" shoe (not actually hot) mounts in case you need to mount mics, wireless transmitters etc. to your rig. If that's not enough, the top bar is designed to accept sliding clamps to secure a small laptop up top.
