Introducing the Canon EOS M5
The new Canon EOS M5 Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera features a 24.2 Megapixel APS-C sized CMOS sensor, DIGIC 7 Image Processor and the fastest AF speed in the EOS M-series, enabling photographers to capture clear, sharp, high-resolution images and Full HD videos. It is also the first in the EOS camera line to include the low energy Bluetooth Smart feature that can maintain a constant connection with your compatible smartphone or tablet when you use the Canon camera connect application and both applications are active.
The Canon EOS M5 also features Combination IS with in-camera 5-axis image stabilization, while capturing video, a first in the Canon EOS series. With a compatible lens attached, Combination IS leverages optical IS and in-camera digital IS to help create tremendously smooth videos. The DIGIC 7 Image Processor makes the 5-axis IS possible even with lenses that do not contain IS, because the in-camera image stabilization functions independently to help reduce camera shake when shooting videos.

Over 24 million phase-difference sensors and a small AF frame allow the EOS M5camera to quickly and smoothly lock onto your subject for precise and sharp focus. For more creative and artistic control, touching the LCD snaps focus to that location in the image. When recording video this also allows for quick and accurate focus changes, letting you quickly switch between fast-moving subjects like athletes on a field or cars on a track while maintaining amazingly clear quality throughout.

OLED Electronic Viewfinder
The EOS M5 camera is equipped with a built-in electronic viewfinder. The OLED screen features high-resolution with approx. 2.36 million dots, high contrast and fast response, so you're able to see exactly what the camera sees. Touch and Drag AF also lets you use the rear screen as a touchpad while the viewfinder is in use, meaning you can choose the subject to focus on with a simple tap, without moving the camera away.

The EOS M5 digital camera features 5-axis Digital Image Stabilization^when recording video so blur and other effects that can alter your results are digitally minimized in-camera. To help even more, when a combination IS-compatible lens is attached, the EOS M5 can pair the lens's Optical IS with Digital IS to further reduce the chance of shaking and keep your videos as sharp as possible.
