Canon Unveils the Future of Imaging at Canon Expo 2010 New York (09/01/10)
Commencing a global showcase of its advanced imaging technologies that will include stops in Paris, Tokyo and Shanghai, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging, today kicked off Canon EXPO 2010 New York, a once-every-five-year event exploring this year's theme, "We Speak Image." Canon Introduces Two New Compact XF-Series Professional Camcorders: XF105 AND XF100 (08/31/10)
Canon today announced the new Canon XF105 and XF100 Professional Camcorders for mobile HD video capture in a compact form factor. Canon's smallest professional camcorders, the new XF105 and XF100 utilize the same Canon XF Codec featured in the Canon XF305 and XF300, introduced earlier this year. The Canon XF Codec is an MPEG-2 4:2:2 50Mbps codec used for exceptional high-definition image quality, full non-linear editing (NLE) systems compatibility and efficient, robust workflow. These camcorders include in-camera features enabling the easy set-up and capture of high-definition 3-D video when two XF105 or XF100 camcorders are paired, as well as Canon's built-in infrared low-light feature enabling the capture of HD video in complete darkness. Both models record to Compact Flash (CF) cards and feature hot-swappable card slots for maximum performance. Differentiating the two models are industry-standard HD-SDI output and genlock in/SMPTE time code (in/out) terminals available on the Canon XF105. The XF105 and XF100 camcorders are ideal for Electronic News Gathering, documentary and independent filmmaking and event videography. Both the Canon XF105 and XF100 are scheduled to be available in the first quarter of 2011. Pricing has not yet been announced.

New Canon EOS 60D Announced in the U.S. (08/26/10)
For the first time on an EOS camera, the EOS 60D DSLR boasts a three-inch Vari-Angle Clear View LCD screen, EOS Full HD video recording with manual overrides including audio level control, and in-camera functionality for RAW image processing plus Creative Filters to manipulate images after taking them. Canon Develops World's First 120 Megapixel CMOS Sensor: Capable of 9.5fps and Full HD Video (08/24/10)
Canon Inc. announced today that it has successfully developed an APS-H-size CMOS image sensor that delivers an image resolution of approximately 120 megapixels (13,280 x 9,184 pixels), the world's highest level of resolution for its size. Canon's newly developed CMOS sensor also incorporates a Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) video output capability. The sensor can output Full HD video from any approximately one-sixtieth-sized section of its total surface area.
Canon Announces the Powershot SD95, SD4500 IS, and SX130 IS (08/19/10)

Canon Announces New EOS 7DSV (Studio Version) with Four Levels of "Locking" Camera Controls (08/17/10)
For wedding and portrait photographers, one of the most enjoyable parts of a project is the actual photographic element with the laborious work starting when the time comes to organize files, edit and ultimately provide the finished product. To help make this process less cumbersome, Canon U.S.A. Inc., a leader in digital imaging, today announced the launch of a new EOS 7D Studio Version DSLR Camera, ideal for professional school and event photographers which features four levels of "locking" camera controls for studio environments.
