Charles MacPherson

I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. Where I grew up, my landscapes were buildings and asphalt. For me, wildlife meant pigeons and squirrels. Exotic wildlife was chipmunks and robins.

I grew up believing that wildlife and beautiful landscapes were meant for other people. Not for me - and I carried that assumption well into adulthood!

Several years ago, I reignited my passion for photography and started doing the ground work to build a portfolio in wildlife and landscapes. Along the way, I found that my childhood assumptions were all wrong all along!

Beautiful wildlife and landscape images are with my reach - and yours too.

That's my focus at The Amazing Image. I teach small, personal classes so you'll know how to use your camera, whether it's an advanced "point & shoot" or the latest DSLR. And once you know how to use your camera, you're free to concentrate on making great images!

I also offer a range of photography tours and workshops for those who want to go to the next level. And my most recent addition is for those with a desire to explore - tours to the *northern* Arctic, where we'll shoot polar bears and anything else we find!
