Three, integrated tripod sleeves at front and sides of the pack store, protect and secure tripods, monopods, trekking or ski poles. Two large side pockets store larger accessories or personal items—one is designed for a hydration bladder and includes a seam-sealed pouch that can hold up to 70 ounces of liquid (does not include hydration reservoir). A removable waistpack serves in two ways: first as a traditional backpack lid, providing extra security and weather protection; and as a removable/wearable waistpack with a mesh-covered backpad, two roomy pockets and a key clip. Superior-quality technical fabrics—like ballistic nylon and Hypalon®--are strategically placed at stress points to offer strength and resilience during heavy outdoor use and travel. Heavy-duty YKK splashguard zippers on the main compartment provide superior water resistance. Lowepro's exclusive adjustable-torso harness system, with the Pack Jack™ tool, provides a fully customized and comfortable fit. Using the tool, the wearer can shorten or lengthen the distance between shoulders and hips. A 10-point adjustment system lets you customize fit at the top of pack, shoulders, torso, sternum, waist and lumbar areas. The waistbelt is removable and adjustable and includes thick, mesh-covered padding to provide comfort and wick away moisture. A removable, checkpoint-friendly laptop sleeve fits in a front pocket. 10 adjustment points
The Pro Trekker AW features Lowepro's top-of-the-line fully adjustable, premium 10-point harness system consisting of adjustment points at: load lifter straps at top of pack (1-2), shoulders (3-4), torso (5), sternum (6), waist (7-8) and lumbar (9-10). Our exclusive Pack Jack™ harness adjustment tool is designed to create a custom fit at the torso area and sits in the back of the pack. To use it, slide the tool between the Velcro® to release connection. Next, slide the torso plate up or down until the harness fits properly at the desired height between shoulders and hips. Remove the tool and press to reconnect the Velcro® closure. Once fitted, the Pack Jack™ tool is stored in the back for future use.
Organized to the max
From Lowepro's classic interior construction with adjustable, padded dividers to built-in memory card pockets (4) and a removable accessory pouch, this backpack offers multiple ways to organize and customize your gear. Convertible and removable
Inventive, flexible details and features make the Pro Trekker AW a perfect backcountry companion. Its convertible waistpack/backpack lids serves in two ways. First it's a protective lid that covers the top of the backpack, providing an extra layer of protecting from the elements. Second, it's a lightweight, feature-packed waistpack with multiple pockets and a super-comfortable mesh lumbar pad. You can remove it and use it as a lens holder in situations where you leave the backpack behind, wear your camera, and hike out to capture the perfect shot.
The removable waistbelt on the Pro Trekker AW is designed for long-wearing comfort with it's thick, mesh padding and 4-point adjustment straps. After a long day of trekking with your gear, you can remove it to dry it out; or unbuckle and pack away to downsize your load.
Trek with a laptop
For photographers who require their laptops right at hand to download images and keep their workflow steady, the Pro Trekker AW includes a checkpoint-friendly laptop sleeve located in the front pocket. It adheres to most airline requirements (no need to remove laptop from sleeve at the security checkpoint) and fits up to 15.4" widescreen laptops.
